Project Objectives
Three objectives:

1. Reduce emissions by generating (&storing) solar energy for self-consumption by the airport.
2. Electrify ground operations as much as possible.
3. Prepare for electric flight; install chargers and perform demonstration flight.

Project description of activities and specific interventions
Physical project: The project aims to install 2 MWp of solar in and on the airport, 5 MWh of battery storage capacity and numerous charging points.
Demonstration: The airport aims to demonstrate that it is possible to operate independently from the grid, whilst electrifying ground equipment and making e-flight possible between the islands.
